RASA is a technology and engineering company revolutionizing molecular science.
We transform materials with unparalleled precision and efficiency. Our groundbreaking theory of molecular interactions enables us to achieve outcomes conventional science considers impossible.
The application of our advancements unlocks endless possibilities to transform industries from energy and recycling to manufacturing and ecological conservation.
This will change how we make, remake, and ultimately rejuvenate our world.
Intelligently recognizes their unique properties
Regardless of the medium, context, or challenge
Resulting in a higher-quality, higher-value yield
Dramatically lowering economic and environmental costs
To make the biggest impact, we focus on one molecule: hydrocarbons.
Hydrocarbons are the foundation of the global economy, as well as the
source of the world’s most pressing challenges. What is more, hydrocarbons are everywhere, and RASA’s technology extracts them from anything:
With precision: targeting distinct hydrocarbon groups and separating them from their host material.
With efficiency: dramatically reducing economic costs while incurring low-to-no environmental costs.
Our use cases range from desktop-proven applications through to fully commercial operations.
Transforming materials is central to human technology and industry. For millions of years, we have relied on just one approach: Brute Force- through the application of heat and pressure.
This approach is inherently imprecise, wasteful, and energy intensive. It depletes natural resources, harms the environment, and drives economic inefficiency.
Today’s global industrial systems demand a shift away from these destructive processes that no longer align with our economic or environmental standards
RASA’s insights into the properties and behavior of molecules allow us to harness nature’s own laws to guide material transformation. Our approach is so unfamiliar, with results so extraordinary, it feels like magic.
This is because our process operates with low energy and low entropy, in stark contrast to every industrial process since the beginning of time.
Brute force methods rely on high energy inputs such as heat or pressure. RASA’s process doesn’t require intensive energy resulting in greater efficiency, which is more sustainable and lowers costs
Brute force methods cause materials to become chaotic and disordered (high entropy). RASA’s process minimizes this randomness (low entropy), resulting in a purer product with no contaminants and less waste
The Polar Selective Agent in action, transforming plastic forks back to virgin stock for recycling.
We tune a Polar Selective Agent (PSA), in gas or liquid form, to recognize the unique properties of a target molecule.
The PSA and target molecule conjoin generating a polar condition that repels other matter – aggregate, water, contaminants etc. – separating them from the host material.
This not only produces a purer, higher-quality yield, but also refines the molecule, which retains a 'memory' of the interaction, preserving specific properties and making it more valuable.
The process generates no heat or waste, and takes place at ambient temperatures and pressures, resulting in low environmental and economic costs.
When detached from its target molecule the PSA will go to hunt for more, making the process virtually perpetual.
We invite you to explore the science behind RASA. Our theories and insights into the true nature of matter—along with their foundations in math and physics—are detailed in our book:
